Railora: live train tracking for iPhone

A consumer iOS app I designed and shipped alone, from market study to the App Store, with a serverless TypeScript backend on Cloudflare Workers that ingests timetables for 11 countries and real-time data from 8 networks. Several thousand people use it to follow their trains.

GLS France · 2024 – 2026 · two contracts

GLS France: parcel tracking at 2.2M visits a month

On a first contract I led the Vue 3 front end of the parcel-tracking web app GLS recipients use, 2.2 million visits a month according to GLS, and built the Go and Java PIN-code services. On a second one I built event-driven Java and Go microservices on AWS and the AI plugin for Claude Code and Copilot now used by about 30 GLS developers.

Bell Canada · Montreal · 2022 – 2024

Bell Canada: a self-service SaaS for business clients

Two years as a full-stack developer in Bell's Self-Service Center team, in Montreal and in English. I built the Vue 3 and TypeScript front end of the B2B SaaS that business clients use to manage employee plans, phones and expenses, and contributed to the Java Spring Boot microservices behind it. Accessibility was part of every feature.

Side projects

Outside client work, I build my own projects, from ESP32 firmware and Raspberry Pi networking to iOS apps. Most start from a real problem at home or on the road.

  • 2025

    Remote door and gate opener

I wired the building intercom to relays driven by an ESP32 running a small HTTP server in C, behind a Go service and a WireGuard tunnel, so the door and garage open from my phone.

  • 2024

    Easy Router

A Raspberry Pi 4 travel router that joins public Wi-Fi on one adapter, serves a hotspot on a second one and routes everything through a VPN, configured from a Vue 3 web UI.

  • 2022

    Sensor Sensei

An air-quality sensor on an M5Stack (ESP32) reading PM2.5, temperature and humidity, with GPS position, sending its data over LoRa to a gateway (Epitech IoT project).

  • 2022

    Connected home

ESP32 sensors around the flat post temperature readings to an API on a Raspberry Pi, which drives the heating, presence lighting and intercom notifications.

  • 2026

    Mémoire

An iOS spaced-repetition app designed for adults with ADHD, with FSRS v5 scheduling and a home-screen widget.

  • 2024

    Max-Explorer

A web app for SNCF Max Jeune subscribers that finds the free TGV and Intercités routes sncf-connect hides, including short connections, shown as a list and on a map, from SNCF open data imported every morning.

About

English is my everyday work language. I spent two years in English-speaking teams in Montreal, at Bell Canada and Pomerleau, and I have also worked as a freelancer from Boston.

In 2026 I spent four months in Southeast Asia, in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, and then came home overland: from Hanoi to Paris by train, through China, Central Asia, Georgia and Turkey. Railora was born on those trains: I wanted to know where my train was, and no app did it well.
